Kharagpur to Mandarmani / Digha Driving Directions
Driving directions from kharagpur to Digha / Mandarmani and Route Map is here. How to drive to Digha / Mandarmani by road : Reach Kaushalya More of Kharagpur and drive along O.T Road ( erstwhile ) or Orissa Trunk Road towards Barbetia / Benapur. Drive past Benapur, Milltary Road etc. to reach NH 60 ( Kharagpur bypass). On NH 60 drive till you reach Belda. On reaching Belda take a left turn by the side of National Highway (NHAI) bridge and get on SH 4 ( State Highway 4) and drive till you reach Egra and subsequently Contai/ Kanthi. In Kanthi when you reach first cross-road ( chou rasta / chowraha ) take right turn and drive along this road till you reach the first T-crossing. Take right turn from there and drive along Digha Road. Now keep driving without taking any turns till you reach Chaulkhola (for Mandarmani).
If you are heading for Digha, do not take any turn in Chaulkhola and drive straight along the road to reach Digha.You can refer the distances mentioned below.
From Kanthi after driving for 12 KM you will reach Chaulkhola. Take a left turn from Chawalkhola and drive for 8 KM to reach a place called Dadanpatrabar. This road is very well-carpeted as of now. From Dadanpatrbar take right turn and drive for 5 KM to reach Mandarmani. This road is also well-carpeted, and not at all a muddy village road.
Tips : From Egra the road bifurcates into two different routes for Digha, left one through Contai and the condition of road is better. Right one is a short route, which can save your fuel and money, but the condition of road is not upto the mark.
Drive an SUV instead of a hatchback. Its about higher ground clearance of your car. Condition of road is fair/good but the n numbers of speed-breakers out there can get you.
