Talasari is located in Orissa's Balasore district and is one of the most serene beaches. It is about 9-10 KM from Digha.
What to see :
Virgin beaches, calm backwaters are the main attractions of this place . Dont miss the red crabs scurrying for covers all along the beach. A number of other beaches are nearby. Udaipur beach is just 7 KM away from Talsari. Chandaneshwar is 3 KM away . Chandaneswar is famous for its Chadak mela held in the mid of April every year. Bhusandeswar , famous for its Shiva lingam is a tourist attraction. This Shiva lingam is probably one of the largest in India.
How to Visit Talsari :
Nearest town is Digha. Digha is connected to Kolkata through Rail and road. You can check the trains available from this website. Hire a car from Digha. Its around 9 KM from Digha. Otherwise you can drop at Jaleswar Railway station. Its 36 km away from Jaleshwar.
Where to stay :
The Orissa Tourism Development Corporation has its own Panthaniwas or Panthashala there.An air-conditioned dlx room costs about Rs. 900/ day whereas a non-AC room will cost you Rs. 500/day.
